Are you driving away from your purpose?
Did you know that, given an average lifespan, the average person spends 7% of their life driving?
When you break it down it comes out to: 47465.455 hours. or 1977.72 days, or 5.42 years. (source at bottom of post)
Imagine how big that number would be if we counted the years, months, days, and hours you and I have spent driving away from our purpose.
Should you and I really spend all that time driving away from our purpose?
NO, but we do.
I grew up in a big city for 7 years of my life with younger sister, a stay at home mom, and a police officer for a dad.
I only went to public school for kindergarten. During that time I was bullied at school, and even though the friends I did have where there for me, I still felt alone, and afraid. My parents decided to home school my sister, and I. Because of this, I grew up thinking I wasn't smart, and not knowing how to make friends.
Early in the summer of 2005, my dad changed careers. He became a pastor, not a career change you would expect.
The career change led my family to move to a small town 3 hours away. For my sister and I this meant leaving behind all the memories, experiences, and friends I spent most off my life with.
One of the hardest moments of my life was leaving that all behind.
A purpose driven life does not look safe
It was there that I had to make a change. I wasn't a social person, so when it came to making friends it was difficult, especially in the neighborhood we moved to.
It wasn't until I decided to go to a public high school that I began to become more social, make more friends, and experience something different.
After high school, I didn't want to be like everyone else and waste a bunch of time and money going to college or university that wasn't going to invest in my life and purpose.
What better way is there to do that than to study in a different country, learn the language, meet people from all over the world, teach kids English, design and develop the ministry's website, and travel the world all at the same time?

A purpose driven life looks like you are about to fall off the edge.
I went from living in Canada for 17 years to now living in Thailand, and traveling across Asia for the past 3 years. Inspiring people to life beyond the edge.
From being driven away from my purpose to driving right into it. Living a purpose driven life does not look safe, it looks like you are about to fall off the edge.
That's just it, living beyond the edge.
What's Next? If you made it this far, thank you for taking the time to read my story. Here are some questions you might want to ask yourself. I would love to hear back from you.

1) Have you been driven away from your purpose? 2) What is your story?
3) What will drive you beyond your purpose?
