I Want You Here

Honestly, this is what I desire!

To pour back into Canada, my sending nation; my family, friends, and partners. To engage and propel youth into their destiny.

I am still here in Thailand because:

  1. I Want You HERE!

  2. And I have a strategic plan to get you here.

Two weeks ago, I finished my last class as a 4th year student here at Victory Asia Bible College...which leads to a question... What's Next?

As a 4th year student, I have taken on many taxing responsibilities including media production; and leading 1 of 3 discipleship teams consisting of 7 VABC students. But none of them are as taxing as what I've challenged myself today, the biggest step in leadership I've ever taken...A risk that will take everything out of me, and a little bit more.

That's what it's all about isn't it Dad (Dr. Al Purvis)?

As a 4th year student, we have a "project" - better named "greater responsibility" that tests our leadership. We are challenged with the responsibility to fight against our common enemy: The Hell that hold the souls just beyond our reach

How we do that is up to us, with a few guidelines to keep in mind.

Guidelines:

  • I must form and lead your own ministry team to carry out my project. This team can include other students, locals in the area of ministry, church leaders and members, and visitors.

  • I must plan and facilitate raising resources needed for my project.

  • I must be a key leader and minister in my project.

The first step is to write up a proposal, get approved, and move onto planning. So here it is...

Ministry Passion/Mandate:

I desire to create movement so young people get connected to Victory Asia through 7 Weeks, transition to VABC, and then into full time ministry. In their first connection, we want to give them a taste of real time ministry - including media, worship, etc. (Not just face painting & construction jobs)

I desire to see them transition to full time ministry instead of excusing their laziness as “waiting on God”.

Vision Statement: Influence, Direct, Deploy, and Recruit

Project Purpose: Integrate a plan of action into our current structure and begin to enforce ministry commitments in our new recruits. To engage and propel them into the next step. In 7 Weeks, create opportunities to participate in media production…

In VABC, students are constantly reinforced with the idea that we want you here.

Thank you for investing valuable time into reading this. You are truly special!

What do you honestly desire? - I want to know, and I want to pray for those desires to take place in your life.

"May He grant you according to your heart's desire, And fulfill all your purpose." - Psalm 20:4 NKJV

- Your loving brother, Nathan.
