It was a rainy afternoon in the Jungle hut as we (Alyssa, Dr. Al, and Heather) were piecing together the magazine we produce every year when we got talking about who would be sent to Alberta, Canada for 4-6 weeks to promote 7 Weeks in Asia, our summer missions program. It was an opportunity I couldn’t let slip away, a chance for me to inspire youth in Canada to do something of value with their lives.

It was a lot more detailed than that, it required me to contact pastors, friends, high schools - waiting on responses and being flexible with the 11+ hour time difference. Strategising a course of travel, should I go north to south, or south to north? Where will I stay? How will I get there?

I didn’t realise how many details are involved in planning such a trip, and it became clear to me that this was no simple arrive in Alberta and convince 20 youngsters to join me this summer for 7 Weeks in Asia.

Fast forward 2 months, and on Feb 25th I flew to Calgary and was welcomed home with a big frosty hug from the freezing Canadian winter (See video below).

I'll be posting 4 more videos in these next 4 weeks, so don't go too far. Before you leave I've provided links below for you to check out some pretty cool resources if I do say so myself ;)
